Not unlike most hair stylists, Melissa Mason always knew she wanted to do hair. “I was drawn to the creativity; I just knew this is what I wanted to do.” she says with her trademark smile. Melissa found her way to One Salon and trained under Master Stylist and Color Correction specialist Dave DeWitt. “I learned a ton from Dave. Not only about the technical aspect of hair design, but also about the client experience in the chair. He definitely prepared me to have success in this industry.”
Melissa is a certified specialist in the application of Goldwell hair color and is also certified in the TIGI Cutting System. She specializes in short cuts for women and does amazing men’s cuts as well. Melissa also has huge passion for color and is proficient at working with all different types of hair. “Color lends itself to so much creativity. Whether it’s a full head of highlights or some fun, bright color, I definitely love all aspects of color.”
Melissa’s greatest attribute may be her pleasant, laid back demeanor. She makes her clients feel at ease in her chair. “I understand the importance of listening. A proper consultation starts with carefully listening to what your client wants and needs. It’s really just that simple.”
