For as long as she can remember, Brooke Schrauben has always wanted to do hair. “My Barbies always had all their hair cut off or dyed pink and I used to set up my parents bathroom like a salon and cut my friend’s hair”. After attending Michigan State for 2 years, Brooke dropped out to follow her passion and enrolled in beauty school. I loved my time at State, but I just remember being so sad because I really wanted to do hair. My parents were not exactly happy, but I had to follow my heart.”
After beauty school, Brooke came to One Salon where she assisted a senior designer for one year and received advanced in-salon training in the application of Goldwell hair color. “I learned so much assisting, cutting and coloring techniques that I still use now.” Today, Brooke is one of the salon’s emerging superstars having quickly built a strong clientele utilizing her vast skill set. She is a specialist at event styling and is also certified in Dreamcatcher Hair Extensions. “I really love doing extensions because it’s a change you can offer that’s different from cut and color. You can change someone’s look by adding length instead of cutting it.”
“I love what I do. I love making people feel great about the way the look. And the dynamics here are so amazing. When I moved to town, I knew no one, now I have an entire family at One Salon.”
