Michigan based Heart In Hand Designs, is the brainchild and creative passion of Melanie Nikel. And to say creativity is in Melanie’s DNA would be an understatement. “I thank my wonderfully creative family for their influences. My dad was an artist, my mom worked with fabric and textiles, my brother produces one of a kind music and instruments, my sister paints fantastically unique subjects and it was my aunt who first shared jewelry making with me.” Crafting was always a passion for Melanie, but jewelry making became her passion. “It’s a thrill to begin AND finish a project in one day”.
Hand In Heart Designs offers an eclectic mix of jewelry designs. “I lean towards earthy, beachy designs with a touch of sparkle…Beach Glam as I call it! I love to combine textures to create interest and long wearing jewelry. I strive to make unique pieces using Swarovski crystals for the endless color choices, shapes and quality”. Affordability is also important to Melanie. “Anyone can make jewelry but it is a special thrill for me when customers love the price too!”
