Rebecca Larocque has been designing hair for over 16 years and spent the bulk of her career working as a Regional Educator for Schwarzkopf Professional. During this time she provided in-salon color and styling education for designers at salons all over the Midwest. In 2011 Rebecca took time off from the industry to be with her family, but returned in 2013, bringing her vast knowledge and experience to One Salon.
Rebecca is a certified Schwarzkopf color specialist, but also has expertise with the Goldwell and TIGI color lines. “If you know the basics of color theory, than you can work with any color line. That’s what I always teach new designers.” Rebecca specializes in natural looking highlights and lowlights as well as strong single tones (brunettes & reds). Although her expertise may lie in color, Rebecca is also an established cutter as well; specializing in curly and fine hair.
“The philosophy I have always held is that the relationship with the client is of upmost importance. It’s about being honest and realistic and teaching them styling tips that they can use at home. Customizing their look to accommodate their styling habits is very important. If they only have 1o minutes in the morning to do their hair, then I’m not going to give them a style that requires 30 minutes of maintenance. There is an emotional connection between how you look and how you feel. I want people to leave my chair feeling beautiful and confident that they can reproduce their look at home.”
